Can you give more info - sound card make - headphone make - which control is
greyed out - have you an audio manager - how many speakers etc etc.

When i am using headphones i cant get a reasonable volume, my speakers are
fine,i have jiggled about in the sound properties to no avail, the only
problem i can find is the control for tone bass is greyed oul and are both
set om zero,it is not a problem with the headphones because they are
perfect
on my h-fi, any ideas ?.
