Is there a guide out there?
Need a replacement for windows 98 but don't want to get stung for a
single system (oem) license for xp home ..as hardware upgrades may follow
.. or even a new system ..
If you buy an OEM license and upgrade your own computer or put together
your own new system, you are the OEM and can use that license for that
machine. The question of whether or not to choose an OEM or Retail version
depends on how cheap OEM versions of Vista will be. Will it be cheaper to
buy an OEM version of Vista or will it be cheaper to buy a Retail Upgrade
version of Vista, the former I think.
What happens if I activate an OEM version in one system and then decide to
upgrade to a new system? Can I activate the OS in a new system?
.
