You have 4 sticks of 512? Are they all matched?

Hi there, thanks for help in advance.
Here is my story:
I am having a pc, running Windows XP Prof sp2, all updates made.
P4 630 + 2G RAM (4x512)
one HD, one DVD RW,
256MB RAM Display Card, with Dual Monitor configuration
Recently, quite some mornings, not all, when i started the windows,
and login, icons on desktop are not ALL showed, explorer.exe seems
have some problems,
Restarting, rebooting, may solve the problem,
but, not always, some times, it needs to restart for 2 or 3 times.
Below are the details
A) Observations
A.1) Explorer.exe
when Windows starts, after login,
a) not all icons on Desktop are shown, links like .Doc, .Zip,
but some icons are showed, like: .pdf, .html, etc.
about 15/30 as show/not shown
b) Quick Launch tool bar not shown
the QL tool bar was configured to be hidden on top side of
Desktop
c) double click on showed html, pdf files on Desktop, not response.
d) Win+E, no response.
A.2) Task Manager
a) to kill the explorer.exe task, restart it
then, everything seems ok, all files/icons showed
but, some services, like Norton Antispam for Outlook Express not
loaded.
b)Rebooting
Windows Pop-up "Terminating explorer.exe, suring to terminate it?"
A.3) Rebooting
as mentioned above, not every reboot solves that problem,
sometimes, it needs to reboot twice or 3 times, then it is OK.
B) Diagnostics
B.1) SpeedFan Test
Only abnormals: Voltage -12V as 1.3V
Voltage -5V as 2.29V
other Voltages as normal, within +/- 5%
Temperature: normal
B.2) Harddisk Test
Hardware error check, all normal
FileSystem: all normal
B.3) RAM Test
not tried yet.
Sorry, :( a little bit too long....
Anyone got an idea?
Thanks
