Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

You might want to take a look at this knowledgebase article..

I use AVG and have for quite some time and while no single antivirus tool
will catch everything, I havent had any virus on my office computers. I also
use Microsofts Windows Defender.

Both are free from their respective vendors (google "free avg" for AVG and
just go to the Microsoft homepage and look for downloads to find windows
defender.

Good luck, Stephan

Ron, I forgot to ask you: what other anti virus would you suggest? What
about AVG? Avast?

Brand new computer-out of the box on Friday. Am not able to

stumped
and have given me the run-a-round. Norton Security had to be

If I had your computer in my shop the first thing I would do is to
ditch Norton completely and permanently. There are alternatives that
are at least equally effective, much less problematic, and far less
likely to corrupt other things on your computer.

What exactly happens when you open Outlook Express and click on
Send/Receive? Please provide the complete verbatim text of any and
all error messages.

Good luck
