I know that Norton Antivirus 2007 will be released in October this
year. If I buy Norton Antivirus 2006 now which is basically a
12-month subscription will I get the NAV 2007 release in Oct as a free
download upgrade? If not, I will probably use Grisoft AVG until then.
TIA
To answer your question, no. The subscription is for the virus definitions
and program updates download via liveupdate, good for a year. The NAV 2007
will most likely include a one year liveupdate subscription from the time of
installation, as prior years versions did. You have to buy the program, not
part of the liveupdate subscription previously enlisted on a prior version
of NAV. Symantec may have a price break for recent versions of NAV
previously installed if you buy online.
