Haggis - Thank You.
Not sure of the proper procedure to turn off logo in the BIOS, but if
someone will explain, I feel confidante that I can accomplish the task and
report back to the group the findings.
Thank you

I have also noticed that sometimes, not all the times when starting up
machine it will bring up the blue screen with Mfg. logo and sit an idle
for a
while 2 â?"7 minutes, and the go directly to Desktop screen. It bypasses
the XP
screen, and the Welcome screen completely.
Thanks you again for your time and responses.

When I first turn on my machine, There is a blue screen with the

logo, then it switches to the black screen with XP logo and the blue
balls
rotating across the page, then the blue Welcome screen, and then the
desktop.
I have noticed here lately that the first blue screen with mfg.logo that
it
seem to stay stuck to that screen for long periods, 2 â?" 7minutes prior
to
bringing up the XP screen. I know that some times in the past I would
have
too wait a brief bit for the XP screen but nothing how it has been acting
of
late. The only recent software added was an update to my Zone Alarm
Program.
Is this an indication that my machine is getting tired or ready to crash,
and
is there any way to correct or test to see what is causing it to perform
this
way?
Thank you in advance for your time and replies.
Thanks,
Chas
try turning the logo off in the BIOS and see what (if anything) is being
displayed on the screen while it is "waiting" to boot
