I've just rebuilt XP onto a new hard drive, based on a slipstreamed CD I
built. Once everything proved out I added back the old drive to copy across
all the user data, which is fine for all users except me!
On the previous build my "My Documents" folder I had pointed at seperate
partition (D:)
That partion now appears when I boot the new system, but if I try to open
the folder, I get a window pop up which says "E:\Stephen is not accessible
Access is denied". The window is named "Start Menu".
This problem is covered on Microsoft.com at article ID 823306, but
following this solution does not fix the problem. Even though I log into
safe mode as administrator, windows will not let me change the permissions.
Anyone any bright ideas to let me get my data back?
