Thank you Ramesh and Sengupta,
Now I understand. I have spybot and adware so I best be putting a
tick in the checkbox titled " I have an anti virus program that I`ll
monitor myself " Thanks very much me mates.

No, I don't think you do understand. You do *not* have an anti-virus program
(unless you have one you haven't told us about). Windows Defender, Spybot
Search and Destroy, and Adaware are all anti-spyware programs. None of them
are anti-virus programs.

Your Security Center warning is correct. You have no anti-virus program, and
you are therefore at severe risk.

Bradley,

Windows Defender is not an anti-virus program. It's only an
anti-spyware program.

You need to install an anti-virus software seperately. Try AVG:

AVG Anti Virus: HOME:

Gday,
Thank you for your reply. That does work but i would like to know
why my security centre says " Virus Protection not found " .

Windows Defender is by microsoft so why doesnt it recognise it?

Is it a glitch with microsoft or do i need to re-install my defender
for it to recognise my virus protection software ?

Thanks in advance
Bradley
