I have just made Firefox my default browser but if I wanted to make
Internet
Explorer my default browser how do I go about this. Under Internet
Options/programs "Internet Explorer should check to see whether is the
default browser" is ticked but I don't get offered this box to make Explorer
my default when I start Internet Explorer. Any suggestions? I do
appreciate most people think firefox is the better browser!!
Bob
This actually a more serious problem then first thought..Apart from not
being able to make the system restore go back to an earlier time. After I
removed Firefox through the add remove program my shortcuts would no
longer work until I restored Firefox. Looks like when I agreed to have
Firefox as my default program it caused some sort of major damage to the
registry.

IE can't get online, but Firefox gets on no problem.
I went to Internet Options -> Connections, checked and unchecked
'Automatically detect settings', and looked around all to no avail.
Anyone know what the problem could be?
Thanks for any info.
