Yes, you are missing something. It is not possible to turn off Simple
Sharing in XP Home (network guest access) except by an extremely
unauthorized method. I believe you are thinking of how to access the
built-in Administrator account and the Security tab in XP Home, which
must be done from Safe Mode.
