Slot '2' is Empty
Slot '3' is Empty
That alone is info enough. You have 128MB of RAM, and 32MB of it is used for
video memory, leaving you with only 96MB.
Neither 96MB nor 128MB is anywhere near enough to run Windows XP with
anything approaching acceptable speed. It's no wonder you call it sloooooow.
You get good performance if the amount of RAM you have keeps you from using
the page file, and that depends on what apps you run. Most people running a
typical range of business applications find that somewhere around 256-384MB
works well, others need 512MB. Almost anyone will see poor performance with
less than 256MB. Some people, particularly those doing things like editing
large photographic images, can see a performance boost by adding even more
than 512MB--sometimes much more.
With your shared memory, even if you were to install another 128MB, that
would leave you with only 224MB usable. That would make an improvement, but
probably not as much as you might like. Assuming that you don't run any
demanding apps, if I were in your shoes, I'd install another 256MB for a
total of 384MB, with 352MB usable.
