I use floppy drives and Floppy Emulated Bootable CD-Rs all the time.
Still a valuable hardware resource. I carry a USB Floppy in my tool
kit for on-site work.
If you want to remove the icon - just enter BIOS setup and disable the
Floppy disk controller and then set the Floppy mode = None.

Ok, since when has anybody used floppy drives?
I don't use mine often, but as a matter of fact I used it just yesterday.
That's what I thought.
No, it probably wasn't what you thought at all..
Is there any way to revmove the A drive icon from Explorer?
Why would you want to? There *are* times when they come in handy.
Yesterday I downloaded SATA drivers for running Vista on my motherboard
and copied them to a diskette. Even if you never use them, it doesn't hurt
you to have it in Explorer, and you never know when a need might pop up.
