Just like I said already. Its amazing how a regular internet user
has this info before a microsoft exec!

?

It's the way of the world (especially now) for people to (at least believe)
know things quickly. I know it is still strange for some to think they can
see live what is going on thousands of miles over oceans from them.. But
the ability has been around a while now.

The article you pointed to, however - does not really show any great
insight, any "I knew for sure before anyone else" point of facts. It shows
that someone (or some group) guessed (and it doesn't take a genius to do
that) that Windows Vista would not be released "on time" and probably not
until 2007.

*gasp* No! Really?

Come on. Seriously. When the Beta 2 release was slated for February (I
believe - it's been so long that I cannot remember) and it never made that
time frame.. Or March.. Or April.. You think that was a hint? And that
combined with all the other issues surrounding Vista as well as current
OSes - 2+2 is still equal to 4.

What I am saying is that this was no shocker. It was that way with past
releases (and not just from Microsoft) and iot will be that way with future
releases (and not just from Microsoft.) Heck - I have been beta testing one
piece of software for a while now and they keep edging their way to the
first full release.. They made it to .9 and I thought: "Woohoo!" - but then
they made 0.91! They then added the third digit! 0.960 is where I believe
they are now.

People instinctively do not like to be criticized - especially for stupid
mistakes. So they may delay things over and over for various reasons - just
tso they can double/triple check things. The trouble is - nothing is
perfect. Someday you have to let the kids grow up and let them out of the
house.
