Thanks very much. I also "discovered" the Search button on the Windows
Search page (with the same "Change Preferences" option.) I'd never noticed
it before.

To follow up, open IE click on search (I don't use IE, My search is
default in the top bar) it opens a panel to Change Preferences and
Turn Auto Complete Off
