As you've been told, compressing a hard drive is *not* a Good Thing.
Don't do it. Get a larger hard drive or get stuff off the one you have.
I just wanted to add that the AOL computer checkup is really a piece of
cr*p and you shouldn't use it.
You don't need third-party programs to have a well-maintained Windows
machine. You *do* need to do occasional maintenance, though.
