Hey,
Strange problem, when i turned on my pc this morning, a message came
up saying that my version of windows might be a fake, BUT, this is
the copy that came with the comp when we brought it. Unfortunatly cos
i've modded the thing the shop won't help me. Fair enough i've
changed everything but the CPU, but the copy of windows is definatly
valid, it's printed, in a box and shiny so if anyone knows of a
solution, please let me know

What is generating the message and does the message say it is fake or that
you should check that it is? Microsoft updates have recently been adding
Windows Genuine Advantage Notification tool to its High Priority updates.
If you're sure it's real and you have the box, product key, etc., you can
install the WGA tool and let it check.
