yes, open windows explorer on the desktop with a right click, then open
properties,
on the target line add the following after the explorer.exe /n,/e,C:\
I think this is what you want.

Can anyone help please.

When I right click start menu and click explore it defaults to
c:\documents
and settings\startmenu...etc... is there any way of just defaulting it to
c:\..
