If by crash you mean the hd is failing having a boot disk wont help.
Nor do you need one to instal win
I trust any data is backed up

I need a boot disk. My hard drive is about to crash.

The instructions to make a boot disk assume I have a floppy drive.
When I choose the Format for my CDRW drive it does not have an option
for making an MSDOS Startup Disk.

What can I do???
