My friend had complained about unable to create accounts on her
computer. after exa mining her computer, i found out the problem
is that the require password complexity option under password
policy is enabled. I was unable to change it.
[control panel -performance and management-administrative
tools-local security-account policies-password policy]

later i found out that the option was set that way because the
last person who administered it had linked the computer to a weird
domain, which overrided the security options on the computer.

i have now linked the computer to the work group it suppose to
belong to, but still unable to change the password policy...

it is unlikely we would be able to contact the person who changed
it at the first place, but we do have access to the administrator
account. is there anyway to change it back? thanks ^-^
