msconfig help

So my friend told me about msconfig because it was taking forever for my
computer to load up because all my programs were loading up.

she did somethings and then realized it didn't work well. so we put
everything back the way it was....or so i thought.

i have no sound, my computer no longer recognizes my digital camera.
i still have internet and everything. after i restart my computer not
all of the same old stuff comes up.

i tried researching online but i'm not sure what to search. i read
somewhere to check the device manager, only nothing comes up in my
device manager.

i tried to do a system restore. and yet again...there is no restore
points.

anyone have any clue what could've went wrong?

thank you in advance.
