Harddrive Copy

Whats wrong with my drive, i can copy stuff to the drive but when i try
to copy or run something of the drive my machine freezes and then a
blue screen comes up doing a physical memory dump.
Even when i try to run scandisk it gives me the same blue screen.
How can i get the stuff off the drive so that i can format it.
Please help!!!!
