If you hook your display up to another computer, does it appear unchanged as
far as brightness & contrast? I'm thinking if its the same on two different
systems then if possible use a tool such as Adobe Gamma. For more
information about calibrating your monitor to look its best, you may wish to

Some video card makers (ATI, NVIDIA for instance) both provide control
panels for use with their video cards. Using these control panels also allow
you to make changes to your gamma, brightness, and contrast on a software
level. You will need to be using their drivers instead of the ones shipped
with Windows XP however. If you need the drivers, visit your video card
manufacturers website.

My OS is windows xp, sp2

Photos are so dark in the folder "My Pictures"...
Same pics on my son's computer show more clearer. and nicer.
What could I do to fix this?
