Sorry for maybe too much detail. Complaining that I've given too
much info or that you don't much like my writing style won't help.
I'm too aware of both as well.

Well, too much extraneous information, perhaps, but they do say a
picture is worth a thousand words! From where are you cutting the
files, Windows Explorer? I didn't see that you mentioned that, and
I don't quite relish the thought of reading through all that again...
