On Friday 05 May 2006 01:25 pm, Paul had this to say in
microsoft.public.windowsxp.general:
Howdy all,
On the other PC here, ZA is installed on it.
However, when I shut ZA down, in security centre, it says there's more
than 1 firewall installed, but none are turned on (well, obviously coz I
just turned it off)!
And XP SP2's firewall isnt turned on.
There is NO other firewall installed, besides Zonealarm.
Symantec's firewall USED to be installed, but has now been removed. I even
used the removal tools to make sure. It used to have AVG + firewall, and
the PC-Cillin firewall installed, but these have also been removed.
I have also removed entries related to any other firewall in the registry.
So, any ideas on where XP is getting its info from, why its saying more
than 1 firewall is still installed??
Geez, you're dumber than a stack of bricks, aren't you. You just admitted
you had 2 firewalls installed, so what's the problem? Maybe you just don't
understand the English language? It doesn't matter whether the firewall is
"turned on" or not - it's installed and that is what Windoze is telling
you.

When Microsoft stops treating its customers as thieves, I might consider
running Windoze again. Of course, I wouldn't allow it to access the
Internet. Windoze has no place on the Internet.
