if boot in safe mode with networking i do not have this issue on boot up,
however i can not access local file servers or MX Exchnage either, so i am ot
sure if thsi si due to safe mode(allthough i did select safe mde with
networking)

I guess i can alwys try sytem restore but i do nto want to undo everythign i
have done over the last 2 weeks?

once i get my desktop working after the login with that error, i can surf
the web no problem, but can not access MS exchnage server which is local here
and can not browse any files on our windows 2003 server...

This problem is so far on one PC Which is a Dell inspiron 1150

any suggestions? any more info i should post?

I did 54 scans of antivirus just to be sure as some articles suggested to do
this... all scans came up fine
