My 8 year old son somehow created a password on his new
computer and he does not know how he did it. Therefore, he
cannot log onto his computer at all. He has Windows XP Home
Edition. We were told to do F10 but it didn't work. I am
trying to get step by step instrucation how to override the
password. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Almost forgot, if this password request is displayed when he
first starts his computer, he may have set up a BIOS password.
The procedure to remove this password will be different
depending on the system. Consult the manual that came with your
system or search the manufacturer's support site for more info.
If it turns out that it's a BIOS password you're trying to
remove, post back with the make and model number of your son's
computer.
Good luck
