Hi, I think from your post that you want to only delete the icon not
the application. If this is right you can find the Registry Key at

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
MyComputer\NameSpace\DelegateFolders

My Mobile phone software did the same and I deleted the key but
everytime I run the applicaion I get an error and have re-import the
key. So I'd advise caution and if you use the application alot just
put up with it

This was a screwup on my part. I tried to set up a camera using the
My
Digital Camera Icon. I guess that is also useless.

I don't know about "useless", but a much better way to handle digital
pictures is with a usb card reader. You can get a card reader with many
different-sized slots for around $30usd or even less. Then just put
your camera's memory card into the right slots and Windows will see it
as a removable drive. Copy the pictures to where you want on the hard
drive, delete from the camera's card, etc. And you don't need to
install any camera drivers/software (often flaky) or have the camera on
using up your battery life while working with the pictures.
