MS has the absolute gall to release this totally unnecessary crap

Everyone, do yourself a favor, NEVER trust Microsoft to act in YOUR
best interest. This is absolute proof that MS only acts in its own
interest! A high priority update! Who do they really think they
are fooling?

Wow, the third WGA. I wonder if one can just not download it and

Not if you have Automatic Updates enabled.

Never have that on. I wonder if I need the other one as it seems it's
a fix for an update I downloaded and with which I have had no
problems.

Probably not. When I went to Microsoft Update, it didn't even offer me
Version 2. Though on my testing partition, I did install the new
version, as I had uninstall the first.
