Are you the original poster, just using a different name of this post?
Since the problems occurred right after downloading and installing
software, here are two suggestions:

1. Do a System Restore to before you downloaded the game. Your data
should not be affected.
Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
"Restore my computer to an earlier time"

2. It would be wise to make sure the computer is malware-free:
