You need to add a password to your account or create another account that
has a password. I'm assuming the backup software uses scheduled tasks.
Scheduled tasks won't run with an account that doesn't have a password for
security reasons.

How can I retrieve a supposed Windows password I can't recall.
I purchased back-up software, Syncback SE, that requires my "Windows
password" in order to run a scheduled back-up. The software company
website (2BrightSparks from Simgapore) says this is a Windows XP
mandate.
I tried all the passwords I normally use, but "access is denied". I
tried the Microsoft "help" menu, but it just has generic advice on
passwords.
I guess my wife or I may have input a password for Windows when I
installed Windows XP or bought my new computer, but I don't use a
password to log in to my home computer...or for anything else. I
have no memory of doing so
How can I possibly get a password I may have created years ago, but
never used once I chose not to require a password for log-in?
We almost had a crash last night due to Dell hardware and I am very,
very nervous about my inability to back up regularly.
Thank you in advance,
Dan
