I recently reinstalled XP
That doesn't mean too much. Many people manage to install more crapware
during one hour than others in their entire lifetime. Anyway, you were
apparently running into severe problems before.
I can not open IE 6 or 7
Both installed on the same system? How come.
I get the following message:^^
the procedure entry point InternetGetSecurityInfobyURLW could not be
located in dynamic link library winninet.dll
"Winninet.dll" is no Windows file. Just in case of a typo:
The latest version of "wininet.dll" for IE6 is currently 6.00.2900.2861
and that version doesn't have that entry point. Therefore, you have a
mix of system files if this function is required and missing.
Can anyone help?
Do not install any BETA software unless you're an official Beta tester.
Incidentally, I can not "remove" IE6 or & beta because I can not 'find"
them in 'add-remove'
Although a repair install *might* help, I recommend reinstalling Windows
from scratch in this particular case.
