I'm running Windows XP home and suddenly everything rotated 90 degreeswith
the taskbar now located on the right side of the screen. This happenedwhen
I let a book I was reading accidentally sit on the keyboard and it seemsto
have depressed several keys at the same time. When I say everything isstill
rotated, I'm including the wallpaper and anything that is displayed. To
view the screen, I have to rotate my head 90 degrees to the left.
I have never heard about this happening. I tried rebooting but it is
rotated. HELP!!
If you scan this newsgroup for posts whose subject lines
include the word "upside" (as in upside down) then you
will find several similar problems reported quite recently.
Here is the reply to one of them, provided by Carey Frisch:
====================
You need to tell us what brand of video card or adapter you have.
If you happen to have a NVIDIA card or adapter, right-click on
your desktop and select:
Properties > Settings > Advanced > GeForce (tab) > NVRotate
and change the setting to "Landscape (0 degree rotation)".
====================
You may also be able to avoid a stiff neck by using the
System Restore feature, taking the machine back a
few days.
