Re: Right mouse button no longer works

Not a problem. I don't use any vendor software for the mouse. I tried
resetting the
mouse buttons in control panel. That disabled my left mouse button so I set
it back.

Sorry, what I was angling for was did a Right Click function differently
when working with different types of objects. That was stated very
clearly.

Do you use any vendor software for the mouse (Logitech Mouseware,
SetPoint or Microsoft Intellipoint) ? If not, have you used the Mouse
Applet in Control Panel to make sure the button configuration has been
changed or the Right Button has been redefined ?

Absolutely nothing happens when I right click anything. I don't have a
files, folders and shortcuts icon. If you tell me where I can find it,
I'll
see what happens.

Right Clicking Files, Folders and Shortcuts ?

Thank you. This did not resolve the problem. Please let me know if
you
have
any other ideas.

Delete the mouse from Device Manager and reboot, Windows will reload

Hi,

I read some of the other posts which said downloads may affect the
right
mouse buttons function. I downloaded a security suite from my cable
internet
provider, along with the google toolbar. I uninstalled them in
efforts
to
restore. Can you tell me how to restore the right click
functionality.
I've
been trying for 3 days - to no avail. This is driving me crazy!

Thanks for any help you can provide
