Perhaps, but it's a perfectly valid distinction. If people continue to practice willful ignorance and refuse to learn anything about their own computers, and the software thereon, they will always have problems. People need to learn to fend for themselves, rather than blindly relying upon some anonymous and distant corporate, in this case, or government entity to look after their best interests.
