Re: Safe Mode keeps creating new administrator accounts

Update your antivirus software and run a full system scan.

Update whatever anti-spyware applications that you have and run a full
system scan with each one.

This helps in one sense, getting rid of the files. The cause persists,
though. I cannot openWindows Explorer in normal mode. So, I have to go
into Safe Mode, and if I log in as Administrator, it creates a new
account.

Tried clean boot, repair install, etc., etc. Worked with MS tech support.
I really would like to know why this is happening. But, it looks like the
only thing I can do is reinstall XP.

Windows Explorer won't work in normal mode. But, it will work in Safe
Mode. However, each time I log on in Safe Mode as Administrator, a new
administrator account is created. I now have four or five administrator
accounts, .000, .001, etc.

Ran repair installation, worked with MS tech support for hours, did
clean boot, scanned for viruses, malware, etc - No viruses.

Can anyone help?

Too critical a system - proprietary software - to wipe it clean.
