Re: Windows SX ReBoot Problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

The User Profile Hive Cleanup utility (Add-on Service) might help.
There is a newer version recently release 1.6d, download here:

If the problem persists, check your System & Application Event
logs. You may have issues with service termination or application
closings that would be logged there.
Click Start, Run (Type) EventVwr.Msc [Enter]

Also, would be a good idea to run Chkdsk on your drive, as doing
an abrupt shut off can/does leave the drive with inconsistencies on it.

I am running windows xp in my laptop and when I do a reboot, I get stuck in
the screen that says: Windows is shutting down, and unless I click on the
off
button, it will hang there forever! Can someone please help me resolve
this
problem>? Please?

Thank you so much..

Tony
