Thanks to all for your input. I guess the reason I wanted to see the
passwords when I entered them might seem trivial. It's a bother not to
be able to see typos and have to re-enter. This is particularly
significant because one of my terminals uses an onscreen keyboard
which misfires ocasionally if I am not deft enough with the stylus. Of
course, many sites allow stored passwords to pop up automatically. But
many I use regularly do not. I guess I should have also asked if it is
possible to overide this and always allow automatic password pop-up. I
spent some time trying to research this problem on the web, mostly with
Google searches. I was not able to find anything. But imagine my
surprise when I came here to look at responses and found the Google
sponsored links to the right that may solve my problem! These didn't
show up when I searched on the Google search site. Oh well! Thanks
again. I think I have a direction now.
