Thanks Gerry, that's all interesting.
We already have DLink wireless adapter on the pc, and had wondered why the
phones didn't seem to be using the same method. Looks like we'll be needing
more USB ports...

depends on what you want to do, if all you want to be able to so is dend
files to and from your phone you can use bluetooth if your phone has it?
Also if your phone uses a memory card to store files you could kust take
it out and use a card reader to copy stuff to and from the phone (again
I'm assuming your phone has a memory card, apologies if it doen't)
There is also an alternative to the PC suite called oxygen phone manager:

I've never used it so can't vouch so can't really say much for or against
it but I'm sure its worth researching a bit more.
Bluetooth would be my 1st choice though.
good luck

Thanks to all for that.
Nokia now unticked in MSconfig.
Could not see any start up options in its own properties in the system
tray.
GerryR what would you recommend, should I want to interface with the
phone in future?

remove it! N0kia suite software is the most buggy POS I've had the
misfortune of coming accross!

Since foolishly loading a cd that came with a new phone, log on has
been slowed considerably by something that attaches itself to the task
bar only to say that 'Nokia pc sync...' is not connected.
There is no such programme in the start up folder, so where is it, and
how can I stop it from loading unless I actually want to use it?

Steve_H
