I am administrator and sole user of my computer. I cnnot copy a database
file to a USB memory key because of a sharing violation (message states
that
I need to close all programs using this file). Therefore, I need to
remove
the database file "Act7" from the Shares folder to allow me to copy the
file
to the USB memory key and I am unable to.
When I click on "Start">"Control Panel">Administrative Tools">"Computer
Management">"System Tools">"Shared Folders">"Shares">"Act7" I don't have
an
option "Stop Sharing". I only have options: "Refresh" and "Help" when I
right-click on "Act7". How can I remove this database file from "Shares"
so
I can copy the file to a USB memory key?
IIRC Act! preloads something at startup , that may be what is holding the
table open ...check your running processes for the culprit.
(or check msconfig for a likely suspect)
.
