Check C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc for a file named HOSTS with no
extension. (Not Hosts.sam)
Make sure Windows is set to show hidden files and folders and is NOT set to
hide extensions for known file types.
If HOSTS exists, rename it to HOSTS.OLD
Reboot an try again.
Or, In a Cmd window, enter
ipconfig /flushdns
then clear your TIF also, and re-boot.

Recently I started having problem loading a particualr web page
that never gave me problems before.
I get the same error message whether I use my Internet Explorer
Browser of my Firefox Browser. I contacted the web master who said
there was no problem
on their end and he verified I had the correct IP address. The
technician at
my Internet Service Provider had no problem accessing the web site.
I have 2
firewalls. It does not matter which one I turn off (Windows or
McAfee), I still get the error message. I've cleared the DNS
cache. Still no luck. My
Operating System is Windows XP with the SP2 upgrade. I have these
for quite
awhile now.
Any ideas as to what's going on?
