Thanks a lot for your replies.
Actually I only tried the Safe Mode suggestion of Carey and this worked
perfectly.
While I was waiting for suggestions from the newsgroup I ran a virus
scan with OnecCare and it identified it as Win32/Swen.A@mm
Interestingly OneCare felt obliged to only block rather than eliminate
it completely.
Anyway its gone now thanks to your help.
However, this one really does seem like a real pain in the neck which
cannot readily be avoided. There's really not a lot of point in
blocking that one sender as I'm sure he or she has many colleagues.
