Try going to www.esupport.com and see if they have a BIOS upgrade for it. I
recently bought one for my HP Pavilion there.

Yes it is definitely a Pavilion xt938. I've also been having trouble
finding it on HP's site, that's why I've come here.

Does anyone know where I can get an updated BIOS for the HP Pavilion
xt938? My current BIOS only recognizes about 135Gb of my new hard
drive (250Gb). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure it is an xt 938? I don't see a 938 listed. There is a 936,
