Booting what, exactly? If you have two operating systems on your pc then xp
will create a boot menu for you providing you install the oldest operating
system on drive/partition C and XP on another partition. (in other words
install windows 98, ME or 2000 first, then XP).
Without really knowing what you want to do it is difficult to give specific
recommendations.
