Re: lssass.exe?

Hi,

First, boot to "safe mode with command prompt" by hitting F8 as soon as the
initial system POST ends and before Windows begins to load. From the prompt,
run C:\Windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe to start System Restore. Use it
to go back to a date prior to your use of the clean up program (god I hate
them, they are soooo unnecessary in soooo many instances).

If that fails, use the process here to correct the corrupted registry:

I recently used a programme to clean-up my Sony VAIO pc and it would
appear that I have inadvertently deleted some important file? When I
now load up my system I get a message saying 'lsass.exe - system error'
and I cannot presently get to my desktop. If I close this displayed
message the system tends to reboot and we go full circle back to this
message again. On one occasion the following message was displayed: 'An
I/O operation initiated by the registry failed unrecoverably. The
registry could not read in or write out or flush one of the files that
contain the system's image of the registry' Furthermore I have also
seen '1QYCB41X44 is not available' displayed. I would be most grateful
if someone could offer some assistance to get me up and running again -
Thanks.
