Hi,
"Edna", the computer administrator, is probably the "Owner" account created
for your use by the manufacturer. You can change the display name, just not
the actual user folder under Documents and Settings. This is why you need to
create an account specifically named "Edna" in order to have a user folder
by that name. Administrator is a system fallback account, AllUsers is for
settings common to all users of a particular machine. Default User is a
template for new users created by the manufacturer, Local Service is also a
system default. Guest is for anyone who you happen to allow to use the
machine without having to have them create a new account. These are all part
of the design for a true user account platform, while it may not seem
important in a home user setting, it is critical in a workplace environment
and WinXP was designed to support both.

I haven't started this yet but ... In User Accts I am the Administrator:
1. Edna
Computer Administrator
2. Guest
Guest Acct is Off That's all there is on the User Acct Window.
Question: Does this make any difference to these instructions?
Question: Do all five of these accts:
1. Administrator, 2. All Users, 3. Default User, 4. Local Service, 5.
Owner acct,
oh and Network Service,
Install by DEFAULT or was the "Owner" Acct made for me when my computer
was
assembled?
Geez IMO all these Accts baffle the "one only" User. We should have a
choice as to which Accts we want installed. u can tell I haven't taken
the
time to learn about them. Complaining is easier.

Hi Edna,
The names of the user profile folders cannot be changed. To have an
"Edna"
folder you would need to logon to the administrator account and create a
new
user acccount named "Edna". Then you can copy the stuff from the account
you've been using into it.

Note that one step not listed in the article is that after creating the
destination profile you must log into it once first to create the
necessary
file structure before you do the copy procedure.
