Exactly how can I make a system disk?
Do you have an MS XP CD? That will do.
When you buy a computer with a Microsoft operating system preinstalled,
legally the seller must provide you a way of returning the machine to
factory-condition. They can do this by:
1. Providing an actual physical CD with the Windows operating system on
it.
2. Providing a "Restore Disk" physical CD(s) with an image of the
operating system on it.
3. Providing a "Restore Image" on a partition (which may be hidden) on
the hard drive.
Many computer mftr.'s like Acer and HP will give you the opportunity to
create physical CD's of the "Restore Images" on the hard drive. It is a
good idea to do this because if your hard drive dies, so does your
Restore Image of the operating system.
In order to reinstall Windows XP, you must have the Windows XP operating
system or a Restore Disk or a Restore Image.
