Windows XP Media Edition. Word 2002. All new.
When I type in a Word document single or double quotation marks or the
possessive apostophe, the character looks ok on the screen, but when
printed the tail is missing, so that only a blob is printed out. There
is nothing wrong with the rest of the printed text, so I don't think
it's to do with the printer, which is laser, or with the cartridge.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Any advice would be much
appreciated.

I don't know the answer, but here are a couple of things to try to narrow
the search for a solution:

1. Try it with several different fonts. Are the results the same?

2. Try printing from a few different programs: notepad, wordpad, Outlook
Express. Are the results the same?

Report back with the results
