Fact, once Windows Defender is out of Beta, it will still be free.
Do not confuse Windows Defender with One Care which will be a subscription
service and includes Windows Defender as one of its components.
Many do confuse the two and erroneously come to the same wrong conclusion
you did.

Wrong definitions does not mean that the program itself has a bug. It is
the definitions that are wrong, but they can be updated and should.
And the definitions came from whom? Hint: it wasn't Exxon.
If not, then putting bad gas in your car means your car should be
trashed.
In that case send your car to me.. I will happily replace the gas and use
it.
Car makers don't put gas in their cars and, if they did, they wouldn't put
bad gas in them. Your analogy is full of holes.
Fact: Defender is a BETA and that means it ain't done yet.
Fact: if you put Defender on a work station, you're an idiot but MS will
thank you for testing their software without getting paid and won't do
anything to help you if it trashes your computer.
Fact: once it's out of BETA, it won't be free anymore.
