Pc is quite old, it was built to order, so OEM doesn't apply.

Don't know what the graphics card is.

I was trying to install the monitor which is new to the PC. forgot to
discriminate between monitor and graphics card

I'm nowdownloading Aida32 to see if it turns up anything new

Probably the easiest thing to do with such an old machine is buy a new
video card. Hardware doesn't last forever and your card may have died.
You can get a basic one for very little money - under $30USD. Uninstall
the old one (if it doesn't show up, don't worry about this step), shut
down the computer and with it unplugged open the case and install the
new video card. Reboot and install drivers per instructions that come
with the card.
