Using WinXP Home, I seem to be experiencing a strange problem - when I start Windows Explorer and attempt to add a new folder or rename a file or folder, I get an error message with a 'Corel Graphics' window indicating "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the 'Corel Graphics Suite' and click OK". If I click cancel, I get Error 1706: No valid source disk could be found ... The Windows Installer cannot continue"
So I am not able to add any folders or rename files at all.
Can someone tell me why this is happening and what would be the best workaround?
Thanks
I just went through this with a clean install of XP SP2 on an
old Dell GX150 when I installed office 2000. As admin, I
could run Word, Excel etc, but the other users got the same
error message. When I changed them to admin, ran Word,
it fixed itself for the users. Then set them back to limited
users and all seems to be find. Something they did not have
rights to do the first time.
